People magazine’s July 4 double issue promised their list of “100 Reasons to Love America.” But they ended up making a list of leftist-media talking points.

Number one was “Peaceful Protests” against police officers. Protests are American, but these journalists only celebrate leftist protests, and they left out any mention of looting, rioting and police being injured and killed. No, they could only accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative:

In the wake of the killing of George Floyd, racially diverse and intergenerational groups gathered in Washington DC, and around the country, defying a pandemic to protest police brutality and help change – and heal – the world.

They quoted Barack Obama insisting “There is something different here….a far more representative cross section of America out on the streets, peacefully protesting, who felt moved to do something because of the injustices they have seen.” The demonstrations, he said, would help America “live up to its highest ideals.”

Number two was “American Optimism,” by CBS This Morning host and Oprah Winfrey pal Gayle King. She, too, lauded the protests. “For the first time you see a very diverse crowd marching shoulder to shoulder, teenagers and twentysomethings challenging their parents….Young people are speaking up. Look at the best-seller list – nine of the top 10 are about race. There’s coast-to-coast solidarity.”

For the first time? Bunk. The Left ALWAYS celebrates their protests as “very diverse.” It’s nothing new.

People celebrated some seriously silly things as reasons to love America with a pandemic twist, including “Toilet Paper” and  “Tie-Dye” and “Stress Baking,” but the magazine’s leftist tilt came throughout the list:

13. Cuomo Brothers. “Frequently razzing each other on live TV, CNN’s Chris and New York governor Andrew are having a moment.”

17. Serena Williams & Alexis Ohanian…because the Reddit co-founder “quit the company’s board to make way for a black leader.”

19. Harry and Meghan. “The royal family comes to America!” To push the liberal line.

32. The Pace of Medicine…by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. (CNN is all over this.)

33. Workplace Equality. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 “that a landmark civil rights law protects gay and transgender employees from workplace discrimination.”

39. Virtual commencement addresses….by Oprah, Obama and Meghan Markle.

40. Anderson Cooper. “The CNN anchor’s perfect blend of empathy and intelligence should make him a great dad to his new son Wyatt.”

44. Birth control pills. Approved 60 years ago, “women have had more control over their bodies ever since.”

49. Broadcasting from home…with Obama (again?), gushing ”Room Rater gave the former President a perfect 10.” Gag. They also promoted Kamala Harris, Meryl Streep, and network TV hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Robin Roberts, Lester Holt, and Andy Cohen.

56. Katie Sowers, “the first openly gay and the first female coach in Super Bowl history.”

62. Dwyane Wade & Gabrielle Union “showed proud support for Wade’s daughter Zaya, 13, who is transgender.”

66. John Cho, an actor who “spoke up against anti-Asian discrimination” in the Los Angeles Times.

77. Randy Rainbow, “a political satirist for our time.” The gay comedian routinely trashes Trump on YouTube with videos with titles like “Bunker Boy” and “A Spoonful of Clorox.” But he LOVES the Cuomo Brothers, so no wonder he’s on the People list.
