Nets Misleadingly Claim U.S. Leads World in COVID-19 Deaths

After the officially confirmed number of deaths caused by coronavirus in the United States passed the official number for  Italy on Saturday, the evening networks rushed to questionably portray the U.S. as having the highest number of deaths without mentioning that the number of fatalities in China is believed to be higher. The networks also failed to put into context that most countries in Western Europe of significant size have higher per capita reported death rates from the virus than the U.S.
